Celebrate the holiday season with stories, music and fun at the Mayor's Holiday Party for Children. Mayor Robert Cluck invites the children of Arlington to join him at the library as he reads a special holiday book and hosts entertainment and activities especially for children. This year's event is Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, 1-2:30 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Central Library Community Room, 101 E. Abram.

Be on time to hear Theater Arlington's own Annie sing the signature tune from the musical. Hear Sarah Youngblood, who plays Annie in the family holiday production, perform the showstopper Tomorrow. Theater Arlington is also providing some tickets to Annie as door prizes.

Symphony Arlington joins the fun with music of the season that children will enjoy. Other performances, storytelling, and holiday cookies add up to a memorable experience for children, parents and grandparents. Admission is free.
