The Arlington Police Department is asking for the public's help with identifying three suspected thieves, who have been targeting shoppers at grocery stores. Over the past month, the Arlington Police Department has received reports in approximately a dozen cases where three suspects - a woman and two men - are believed to have stolen wallets from purses left in grocery carts. The victims have generally been women who are over the age of 50. A couple of the stores were repeatedly targeted. Stolen credit cards have been used shortly after the thefts at local gas stations, convenience stores and retail locations to purchase gas, gift cards and other merchandise.

Generally, two of the suspects enter the store while a third suspect stays in a car. However, the three suspects were not seen at each of the theft locations. Still photographs taken from store surveillance footage and the descriptions of the suspects indicate that the three people are working together. In at least one instance, the suspects were seen in a silver Chevy Malibu. Photographs of the suspects and a possible vehicle involved in the thefts are attached to this message.

Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to call Arlington Police Detective Elizabeth Bennett at (817) 459-6081or Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-TIPS (8477). Tipsters may remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
