The season is changing and so is City Hall in downtown Arlington. Watch as a special crane hoists the new Chesapeake Energy Corporation Christmas Tree into place in front of City Hall on November 20 at 10 a.m. The spectacular 50-year-old, 48-foot blue spruce from Marion, Michigan will be decorated with more than 3,000 brand new LED bright white lights. The official lighting of the tree will follow the 2012 Decorators Warehouse Holiday Lights Parade on December 1.

What: Arlington Christmas tree arrival

When: Nov. 20 at 10 a.m.

Where: City Hall, 101 West Abram (Center & Abram Streets)

"This home-style parade would not be possible if it were not for the wonderful sponsors we have; our neighbors, friends, businesses and other organizations” said Holiday Lights Parade Co-Director Joni Wilson. The parade has grown over the years thanks to generous sponsors such as this year’s title sponsor, Decorator’s Warehouse. Join us on December 1 at 4 p.m. for some wonderful entertainment, followed by the parade kicking off at 6 p.m. Once the parade concludes, there will be a spectacular lighting of the Chesapeake Energy Christmas Tree and pictures with Santa.
