60,000 Reasons to Stop by Meadowbrook Park

At the Friends of the Arlington Public Library Fall Book Sale beginning Wednesday, Sept. 12, you can find a bargain and support your local library at the same time. The Sept. 12-16 book sale is expected to have more than 60,000 items ranging from books for all ages to sheet music and DVDs. Also, don't forget to stop by the Collector's Corner, you might find a real treasure!

Wednesday is for library members only but membership can be purchased at the door. The next four days are open to the public. The big sale will be held at the Meadowbrook Recreation Center, 1400 Dugan St.

Sale Hours:

  • Wednesday 3-7 p.m. MEMBERS ONLY (Membership available at the door)
  • Thursday 3-7 p.m.
  • Friday 1-6 p.m.
  • Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday (Half Price Day) 12-4 p.m. , Teachers free 4:30-5 p.m.

The Friends of the Arlington Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Arlington Public Library System. Funds are raised for special Library purposes and programs through semi-annual book sales and book and author luncheons. Since its organization in 1987, the Friends fundraising efforts have resulted in more than $694,000 in gifts for the Library.
