Giving, animal loving, and thoughtful are words describing the good deed by Emily Evans on her 11th birthday. Emily wanted to do her part to help the shelter animals, so rather than receive gifts for herself, she asked for gifts for the animals at Arlington Animal Services (AAS) for her birthday.

Emily's friends and family showered her with animal related gifts such as leashes, cat scoopers, treats, blankets, and chew toys that she enthusiastically brought to the animal shelter to give to the homeless adoptable animals.

A tour of the facility was provided for Emily by supervisor Ray Rentschler during her visit.

Happy Birthday and thank you Emily from AAS and all of the animals you are helping with your kindness and generosity!
