Arlington Animal Services Teams Up with Iams® Home 4 the Holidays® and PetSmart Charities® to Help Find Homes & Feed Homeless Animals

Arlington Animal Services has teamed with thousands of animal organizations from around the world to participate in the annual Iams® Home 4 the Holidays® pet adoption campaign, founded by Helen Woodward Animal Center, and supported by Iams®. Arlington Animal Services is participating in the campaign Dec. 8, 2012 through Dec. 22, 2012, to help place orphaned pets into loving homes.

"With as many as 7 million homeless pets in the U.S., it is important for everyone to get involved to help save an orphaned animal this holiday season,'said Animal Services Manager Chrishandra Huff. "We are proud to be a part of this amazing campaign, and are dedicated to placing orphaned animals in homes so they can experience a happy life with their new, loving family.'

Arlington Animal Services adoptable pets will be half price from December 8 through December 22. Anyone who adopts a dog, cat, puppy, or kitten during the Iams® Home 4 the Holidays® event, or anytime throughout the campaign, can register for Iams® Lifelong Rewards™,via amobile sign up. When a new pet parent signs up for Iams® Lifelong Rewards™, he or she can select a participating pet adoption center, or animal rescue, and Iams® will donate five pounds of food to that facility. Additionally, special activities will be held in celebration of Iams® Home 4 the Holidays® 2012, on Dec. 8, 2012, from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., at the Arlington Highlands PetSmart® located at 203 E. Interstate 20, including a Santa Claws photo event - get your pet's picture with Santa for $9.95 with a PetPerks card ($5 from each photo proceed will benefit Arlington Animal Services); visit the Golden PAWS craft booth; and just in time for the holidays, get your 2013 Animal Services Calendar, with a $10 donation.
