The Tornado Recovery Center Closes Monday

  • Beginning today at 5 p.m., the City of Arlington will transition to normal daily operations as it closes the Tornado Recovery Center. Tornado recovery operations will continue.
  • The City of Arlington will continue to coordinate non-emergency tornado recovery assistance through theCity's Action Center at 817-459-6777. Special hours for the Action Center are Mon. - Wed. 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Regular hours will resume Thurs., April 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Police, Fire and Medical services will continue to maintain strategic posts in affected areas. Residents are reminded to call 9-1-1 for emergency services.
  • Public Works will continue to remove debris placed at the curb, not in the street. Crews will work 12 hour days until work is complete, please continue to separate tree brush from building material debris. Requests for assistance can be made by calling the Action Center. The mobile hazardous waste team from the Fire Department will be patrolling affected areas to collect items such as paint and pesticides. For specific requests, call the Action Center at 817-459-6777.
  • Community Development and Planning, 101 W. Abram St., will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Click here for information about permits and inspections. Inspections may be requested from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling the Inspection Request Line at 817-261-8817. For after hour emergency inspections, please call Water Utilities Dispatch at 817-459-5900. Contractor access passes will only be required if your neighborhood is under controlled access. Passes for contractors can be obtained at the South Police Service Center at 1030 S.W. Green Oaks Blvd. For all insurance related issues, please contact your insurance adjuster or call the Texas Department of Insurance at 800-252-3439.
  • If you are in need of volunteers or goods, or if you would like to volunteer, contact Mission Arlington at 817-277-6620 or 210 W. South St.
  • Items that have been lost or found are being collected at one of the following branch locations during regular library hours, Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For items of value, please call 9-1-1 and an officer will be dispatched to collect the item.
