Each year the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains convenes to offer an expo with educational and fun activities to inform Girl Scout leader volunteers about community service opportunities.

Arlington Animal Services (AAS) Administrative Coordinator Cheri Colbert was invited to attend this year's event held on August 3, at the McKinney Memorial Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Colbert welcomed the opportunity to promote the many programs offered at AAS, and educate the attendees on the importance of spay/neutering of pets.

The expo was for adults only and attracted about 450 directors and Girl Scout troop leaders.

Many attendees expressed interest in the AAS Movie Night and the Responsible Pet Grooming Academy for Youth summer program.
