Rangers Host Los Angeles Angels, Cleveland Indians in Final Games of 2021 Season at Globe Life Field

The Texas Rangers return to Globe Life Field tomorrow, Tuesday, September 28, for the final homestand and final games of the 2021 season. The six-game homestand against the Angels and Indians will conclude on Sunday, October 3. 

The Rangers will host the Los Angeles Angels in a three-game series to open the homestand. Games will be played on Tuesday, September 28, at 7:05 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, at 7:05 p.m., and Thursday, September 30, at 1:35 p.m.

To conclude the homestand, the Rangers will host the Cleveland Indians for the final three-game series of the season. The Rangers and Indians will face off on Friday, October 1, at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, October 1, at 6:05 p.m., and Sunday, October 3, at 2:05 p.m.

On Tuesday, September 28, former Texas Rangers pitcher Ken Hill and second baseman Mark McLemore will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Both Hill and McLemore were prominent members of the team that clinched the first division title and postseason appearance in franchise history. The 1996 American League West division-winning Rangers clinched on September 27 at The Ballpark in Arlington, marking 25 years since the momentous occasion.

Also on Tuesday, September 28, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation is partnering with DKMS for ‘Swabtember,’ an action month created to encourage people to register as potential bone marrow donors. During the game, fans can visit the left-field suite level to sign up to become a potential life-saving donor for those suffering from blood cancers and blood disorders. The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will donate all proceeds from the Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle on Tuesday to DKMS. 

On Wednesday, September 29, the Texas Rangers are bringing back the Last Chance Theme Night. Fans who missed an opportunity to snag items like the Star Wars Han Solak figurine, Texas Rangers / Dallas Mavericks co-branded hat, university t-shirts, and more will have one last chance to get these items. Fans who purchase tickets through texasrangers.com/themenights will receive their choice of any two remaining limited-edition Texas Rangers items while supplies last.

On Sunday, October 3, the first 15,000 fans in the ballpark will receive a Globe Life Field t-shirt, presented by Globe Life for the final giveaway of the 2021 season. 

Tickets for the Angels and Indians series and all 2021 home games can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972.RANGERS, and at the Globe Life Field box office located at the Southeast entrance of the park. For all home games, the Rangers are making certain locations of Globe Life Field “Distanced Seating” sections, with tickets sold in pods of two and four seats to allow for more space between occupied seats.

GUEST POLICIES AND PROTOCOLS FOR ALL 2021 TEXAS RANGERS GAMES AT GLOBE LIFE FIELD

Masks are recommended for all fans except when actively eating or drinking at their ticketed seats. That includes all concourse areas and when entering Globe Life Field.

  • Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the ballpark.
  • Globe Life Field is cashless. All tickets will be digital and only credit cards are accepted at concession stands and retail locations.
  • Safe distancing is encouraged in concession lines and retail locations.
  • Outside food is allowed inside of Globe Life Field as long as it is inside a sealed clear gallon sized (or less) plastic bag.  Guests may also bring in a sealed non-flavored water (plastic bottle and under 1 liter).  One bag of food and one bottle of water per ticket will be permitted.  Additional considerations will be made for dietary concerns and infants.
  • All bags and purses must be soft sided and not exceed the Major League Baseball bag-size requirements of 16” x 16” x 8” All backpacks are prohibited, except single-compartment drawstring bags. Exceptions are for those bags that are carried for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children.  All bags are subject to search before entering the ballpark.
