ACTIV is a state-of-the-art recreation center in Arlington, Texas, dedicated to enriching the lives of adults aged 50 and older. Offering an array of amenities including a full-court gymnasium, an indoor pool, a fitness area, a walking track, multi-purpose rooms, special events space, an outdoor patio, and a community garden. ACTIV is committed to providing a welcoming and vibrant environment for both residents and non-residents.

At EAST, seniors 50+ have access to a wide array of programs and services. The recreation elements of the center include a gymnasium, indoor pool, fitness center, locker rooms, group exercise room, and community meeting rooms available to its members. With the purchase of a membership, seniors at the East can enjoy bingo, movies, games, potlucks, holiday lunches, and other social activities and special events programmed especially for their enjoyment.

Seniors 50+ with a membership also have exclusive access to the Hall and the Lounge Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors can additionally choose to join the East's congregate meal program to receive lunch from the center's partner, Meals on Wheels. The East is the perfect place for anyone 50 years or older who is looking for a home away from home.

EngAGE Arlington's mission is to promote a welcoming environment to enhance the quality of life through education, socialization, and wellness enriching the human spirit. Engage Arlington is a group of adults who come together for lively activities ranging from wine tours to hiking, breakfast to pickleball! Think of it as events and adventures for more active adults. Couples, singles and anyone who is looking for an extra boost of fun is welcome. 

EngAGE Day Trips

Arlington Parks offers out-of-city adventures within a two-hour radius of Arlington. Day trips trips depart from ACTIV and EAST. You can unwind and enjoy the journey while leaving the driving to us aboard the Naturally Fun bus. Equipped with 26 seats, wheelchair access, and a skilled driver at the helm, your comfort and safety are ensured. Please inform us of any special accommodations you may require before each trip. We organize about (4) day trips per month for your enjoyment. Registration for day trips is available online. Customers can also contact us at 817-575-3406 or visit any Arlington recreation center to make reservations in person.

Payment is required at the time of registration. Please ensure your email and other account information is accurate for confirmation purposes. No membership is required for day trips, but a $10 fee for nonmembers will be applied. A week before your trip, an email containing all the necessary details will be sent to you. Additionally, we ask that you complete a personal information form annually, listing all emergency contact information. Happy Travels!

Engage Monthly Breakfasts

This group meets every 3rd Tuesday at 8:15 AM for breakfast at Skillet N Grill, 1801 W. Division Street in Arlington.
