I’m interested in riding Arlington On-Demand, but I am not able to walk 1 to 2 blocks to be picked up. What are my options?
Riders who require a closer pick up and drop off on Arlington On-Demand can request a curb-to-curb promo code. With curb to curb service, Arlington On-Demand vans will stop on the street or driveway closest to your location. Riders must still be able to get from the building to the van and enter/exit the van without assistance from the driver.
I don’t have a smartphone to download the Arlington Transportation app. Can I still book a ride?
Arlington On-Demand has a live support line at 817-784-7382. You can call that number to book a ride if you have already set up a Arlington On-Demand account. If you do not have an account, you can call that number to speak with a Arlington On-Demand representative to set up an account.
Will customers who use wheelchairs be able to use the Arlington On-Demand service?
In addition to the fleet of six-passenger vans, Arlington On-Demand also operates a number of wheelchair-accessible vehicles. While the Arlington On-Demand vans typically pick up customers within a block or two of their location, the accessible vehicles will pick up customers at their doorstep as needed. Arlington’s Handitran is still an available option for those needing an accessible vehicle and door-to-door service.
How do I request an accessible Arlington On-Demand vehicle?
Riders requiring a wheelchair accessible vehicle can request this option in the Arlington Transportation app by clicking the Accessibility tab in the menu and completing a short online form. Once this access is provided, the rider will be assigned an accessible vehicle each time they request a ride.
Are service animals allowed to ride with me on Arlington On-Demand?
Trained service animals are welcome to ride on Arlington On-Demand without restrictions. Other dogs and cats must be in an airline-approved carrier in order to ride with Arlington On-Demand.
