Arlington Residents Invited to Share Feedback on Housing Needs, Community Grant Funding Priorities

The City of Arlington is seeking public input on community and housing needs as it writes a new five-year Consolidated Plan to prioritize federal funding allocated for services and programs that serve low- and moderate-income families, individuals with disabilities and senior residents.

The City is required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to submit a Consolidated Plan every five years that describes the community needs, resources, priorities, and the proposed activities to be undertaken under HUD programs. Arlington uses its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Grant funding to assist lower-income people, households, and communities throughout the 99-square-mile City. In addition, the City is required to submit to HUD a One Year Action Plan, which details how Arlington will allocate funds from CDBG, ESG, and HOME to accomplish the priority needs and goals set forth in the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan.
