Mayor Robert Cluck has issued a state of disaster for the city of Arlington following severe storms with at least one tornado that severely damaged homes in southwest Arlington.

At this point, there are no major injuries reported. However, it is still early and Arlington Fire and Police Units are conducting primary searches of the damaged areas looking for any injured or trapped individuals.

If you are at home or in a secure area and not in need of critical care, please remain inside.

There have been reports of ruptured gas lines. Gas companies have been contacted and are working to resolve those issues. If you smell gas, call 9-1-1.

Arlington Action Center is fielding calls and giving updates at 817-459-6777.
