"Dream Builders" is a show on MyArlingtonTV that highlights the ways our community is helping kids dream big, nurture their creativity, polish their skills and develop the tools they need to achieve their American Dream as young adults.
The latest episode focuses on the partnership between the Arlington Animal Services Center and Mansfield Independent School District's Ben Barber Innovative Academy, located at 1120 West Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063.
The partnership encourages students to engage in volunteerism and shelter animals are benefiting as students attain community service hours when they log in and out as shelter volunteers at each visit.
The Ben Barber Career and Tech Academy (named after Mr. Ben Barber, longtime MISD educator) opened in 2010. BBCTA's name was changed in September 2016 to the Ben Barber Innovative Academy.
The City's Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Time Warner Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlington-tx.gov.
