A Knight’s Tale at the Arlington Museum of Art

Arlington Museum of Art’s newest exhibition is A Knight’s Tale. From the renowned collection of the Museo Stibbert in Florence, Italy, stunning examples of European arms and armor will fill the galleries this winter. One hundred and thirty rare objects, including full suits of armor, mounted equestrian figures, helmets, swords, and other weaponry, tell the tale of the European knight from the Middle Ages and Renaissance through the medieval revival of the nineteenth century. The exhibition explores the historical and functional contexts of arms and armor of this period while also highlighting the undeniable craftsmanship, beauty and artistic appeal. Here Be Dragons: From Lizards to Legends 

Venture to the River Legacy Nature Center to experience Here Be Dragons: From Lizards to Legends, a celebration on dragons in literature, pop culture, history, music, art, paleontology, astronomy, astrology and science. The exhibit runs from Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 through Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023. The exhibit is open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays (with ticket sales ending at 4:30 p.m.).  Explore the history of these mythical creatures through artifacts, activities, and one-of-a-kind opportunities to interact with real-life lizards! The Light Park at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

The most exciting and electrifying Light Show is South of the North Pole! Head out to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for the most exciting drive through light show at The Light Park. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

The premier Christmas event in North Texas, Holiday in the Park®, returns to Six Flags Over Texas. Holiday in the Park will take place weekends and select weekdays Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2023. Bask in wondrous holiday enchantment for the entire family, featuring visits with Santa, the award-winning Christmas At The Southern Palace, the new Holiday Market with a petting zoo, s’mores around a campfire, and more. The park’s most magical time of the year features more than a million glittering lights, festive décor, seasonal foods, holiday entertainment, and thrilling rides to create this winter wonderland experience. Texas Christkindl Market 

The Texas Christkindl Market returns for its 12th year on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at the North Plaza at Globe Life Field. It is a free, family friendly market in Arlington that features a unique shopping experience for holiday gifts, decorations, and unique one-of-a-kind finds. It is open daily 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with free admission to the market. Visit txchristkindlmarket.com for more info. The market runs until Friday, Dec. 23, 2022.

Miracle at Live!

Get into the holiday spirit with the addition of Miracle at Live!, a holiday pop-up bar at Texas Live! Featuring over-the-top décor and plenty of holiday-themed drinks, Miracle at Live! opens Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 and will be open until Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022.  Guests can choose from a variety of festive, holiday-themed cocktails, including the Snowball Old Fashioned, the Christmapolitan and Santa’s Little Helper. Drinks are served in themed mugs and glassware, which are available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from retail sales will benefit the Seva Foundation, a global nonprofit eye-care organization dedicated to preserving and restoring sight for underserved communities around the world. Throughout the season, Miracle at Live! will host festive themed nights – including boozy cookie decorating classes, ugly sweater parties, holiday karaoke, and more. Guests will be able to make reservations beginning early November or can walk in for drinks and socializing. Holiday Storytime at The Parks Mall at Arlington

The Arlington Public Library will be at The Parks Mall in Arlington every Friday beginning Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 and ending Friday, Dec. 23, 2022 for Holiday themed storytelling. Join us from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the lower-level Macy's seating area.

Theatre Arlington presents Hooray for the Holidays

Theatre Arlington presents Hooray for the Holidays starting Friday, Dec. 2, 2022. Theatre Arlington had so much fun, and its audiences loved it so much, that they are bringing back this hilarious Christmas musical that features special guest at each performance – The Callahan Kids TV Christmas Reunion special. Everyone is excited about the former child stars’ return to television until they realize that as grown-ups, they are no longer cute and their talent is lacking. The only thing that can save the show is a Christmas miracle. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; then 2 p.m. Sundays. Christmas Joy with Arlington Master Chorale

Enjoy an evening of holiday merriment in Arlington Master Chorale’s 50th year. It takes place two nights starting 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022 at St. Barnabus United Methodist Church and 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Holiday Lights Parade & Tree Lighting

The 2022 Arlington Holiday Lights Parade will brighten the streets Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. Events start 2 p.m. in Downtown Arlington. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the Annual Holiday Lights Parade which begins at 6 p.m. Thousands of people will gather for the pageantry which is followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree. Don’t forget to bring your camera and take a picture with Santa before the parade at the Library at 100 S Center St or after the tree lighting at the Founders Plaza at 100 W Abram St. Parade will continue as planned rain, snow, or shine but not ice! Lantern Festival 

Join the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department as they light up the night for the Lantern Festival 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center. Upon check-in, we will provide you with your paper lantern & supplies to decorate. Lanterns will have a send off, floating on Cliff Nelson's scenic pond. Enjoy holiday music & vendors during this wonderful seasonal experience. Free to attend or $10 per lantern. Pre-register online for your paper lanterns. All ages welcome. Click here to register.

In-State Rivalry 

Your hometown Cowboys host in-state rivals, the Houston Texans at noon on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022 at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys are 2-0 against the Houston Texans at home, winning in 2006 and 2014. Limited tickets are available at seatgeek.com.
