Dogs of the week

Dog of the Week - Meet Mathilda

Mathilda is our chosen dog of the week. This three year old female shepherd mix is tan and black in color and weighs 52 pounds. Looking for a sweet but somewhat "goofy" dog to add to your abode could lead you to this shelter selection. She is eager to make friends with "hoomans" or canines alike. While she has manners, Mathilda doesn't always use them as she should. A family with the patience to work with her to hone her skills would be ideal. Partial to belly rubs, she will roll over to make it easier to be on the receiving end of a good belly rub. Due to time in the shelter, Mathilda is a VIP pet which brings a reduced adoption fee. Come adopt this canine so she can hear the song stanza, "Waltzing Mathilda, waltzing Mathilda, waltzing Mathilda with me", to your new home. Mathilda is in DA21 and her ID number is A51247880 .

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Shakespeare

Shakespeare is our second chosen dog of the week. This two years and two months old male German Shepherd mix is tan and black in color and weighs 54 pounds. This dog's namesake is known for writing, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Shakespeare would love to enter that stage as a "player" meeting and playing with as many others as he can. His true objective is to exit the shelter (stage right?) with a new pet guardian. Making friends comes easily to him. His acting skills include pretending not to know the command of "sit" so that it gets him more time and treats from the staff and volunteers. An active family willing to provide exercise opportunities for Shakespeare would be a good adoption match. As a VIP pet due to the amount of time he's been in the shelter, Shakespeare has a reduced adoption fee. Meet Shakespeare at DA27, his ID number is A51219127 .

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance.
