Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games May 3-5

The Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games is ready to celebrate its 27th anniversary! Bring the whole family and enjoy the rich culture on display at Maverick Stadium on the UTA Campus, May 3-4-5, 2013.

Highlander magazine has rated the Texas Scottish Festival the number one Scottish festival in North America! Renowned for its outstanding entertainment, the Festival hosts top Scottish musicians, professional athletes, champion highland dancers and an exciting array of food, merchandise, souvenirs, and beverages from Scotland and Great Britain. An attendance in excess of 40,000 is expected for the three day event.

The family-friendly Festival and Games are open to the general public with most activities scheduled continuously each day. The festival will feature four large entertainment tents that will showcase national and regional Celtic, folk, and Scottish entertainers and more than 65 colorful tents will represent various Scottish Clans and families.

Solo bag piping and drumming contests and other activities such as Scottish workshops, a scotch whiskey tasting seminar, Texas Championship Sheep Dog demonstrations, an All-Scottish Breed Dog Show, Celtic Art Seminar, and a Scottish Dance Party are sure to be please.
