Friday

Oak Ridge Boys

One of America's favorite country and gospel vocal quartets, the Grammy Award winning Oak Ridge Boys, is coming to the Arlington Music Hall, 224 N. Center Street. Hear Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall, William Lee Golden and Richard Sterban sing some of their popular hits- Elvira, Bobbie Sue, and American Made. The Oak Ridge Boys hit the stage at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $35-70.

Party on the Patio

Back by popular demand in 2013 is the Party on the Patio concert series at Tierra Verde Golf Club! This week, enjoy dinner and music performed by a local band in a family-friendly environment. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs for your added comfort. Cover charge is $7. Children 17 and under are admitted free. Several options, including half pound burgers, chicken sandwiches and hot dogs, are being prepared by Ventana Grille. Prices range from $2.00-$11.95. Food line opens at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 7 p.m.

Electronic Recycling Event at Cowboys Stadium

Bring any unwanted electronic devices to the 2013 All-Star Electronic Recycling Event at Cowboys Stadium, One Legends Way, and meet the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. This event is sponsored by Allied Electronic Recycling and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Heroes for Children, a local non-profit organization that helps families affected by childhood cancer. This free event is 10:00am - 4:00pm on Saturday.

Make a Splash

Put on your swimsuit or swim trunks and head over to Hugh Smith Recreation Center and Indoor Pool for the annual "Make a Splash" event from noon-4:00pm. Enjoy an open swim, water safety classes, swim lessons, games ,music, free food and drinks. There will be demonstrations by the MARS (Mid-Cities Arlington) Swim Team, Arlington Lifeguards and Zumba Scuba. Spanish Colonial Art at AMA

See more than 300 years of traditional Spanish art during the Spanish Colonial Art exhibit currently at the Arlington Museum of Art, 201 W. Main Street. More than 40 sculptures, carvings and paintings created by Spanish friars and missionaries will be featured. 10am - 5pm on Friday and Saturday; 1pm-5pm on Sunday. $8 for adults; $5 for seniors/students.
