Dog of the Week – Meet Bluey

This three years, one-month-old female Australian Cattle Dog/Alaskan Husky mix is white and red in color and weighs 45 pounds. There is a well-known Australian cartoon character named Bluey and that Bluey has a namesake here in the shelter. Similar to the Bluey character, our Bluey is energetic and has a lovable spirit as well. While we can't confirm that our Bluey would get into funny and unpredictable situations, we can confirm that she has a lot of personality. She has great interactions with our staff and volunteers. Being out of the kennel and sharing exercise time with friends is her most favorite pastime. Eager to find a new pet guardian, Bluey is ready to let you lose yourself in her gorgeous blue eyes. Due to her time spent in the shelter, Bluey is a VIP pet with a reduced adoption fee. Meet Bluey at Dog Adoptions (DA) 10, her ID number is A55153684.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Xavier

This nearly thirteen months old male Labrador Retriever mix is black and brown in color and weighs 39 pounds. This is another VIP designated dog due to the length of time he has spent in the shelter. It's time to do a "xave" (save) for this dog and to provide him with a new "furever" home. He is definitely a unique dog, as unique as his name. Adventure loving, Xavier is a fun-loving pooch waiting for his greatest adventure of all—going to a new home! Labrador retrievers are one of the most popular dog breeds. If you want to join the ranks of owning a Labrador retriever, be prepared to provide him with lots of exercise and mental stimulation. He likes to stay busy! Ready to share love and X's (kisses) with Xavier, come do a meet and greet with him. Hopefully, you (yes, you!) will be the right fit and be the one to provide him the adventure of going to a new home by adopting him. Meet Xavier in Dog Adoptions (DA) 18, his ID number is A55172426.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
