The Arlington Police Department has been notified by medical staff that a 22-year-old man involved in a crash that occurred last week has died from his injuries.

The crash happened on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at approximately 1:29 p.m. in the 2800 block of W. Division Street.

The 22-year-old was a passenger in a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette that was traveling in the westbound lanes of W. Division Street. Investigators determined the driver of the Corvette lost control of the car due to the roads being wet and began sliding into the eastbound lanes where it collided with a 2020 Toyota Tacoma.

Both the victim and the driver of the Corvette were transported to the hospital. The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Tacoma was not seriously injured.

Officers are looking at evidence to determine whether road conditions were the sole factor for the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once the next of kin has been notified.
