Grants Management Training and Resources

The City of Arlington Grants Management Department hosts quarterly trainings for organizations awarded federal grant funds in the Council approved Action Plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). This space allows for the discussion of topics that may arise surrounding programs and updates that may require deeper discussions. This platform also allows partner organizations to have an additional mechanism for communication with staff.

These training sessions are a resource for subrecipient's questions and offers information on managing their programs to successfully meet their stated goals and objectives within a program year.

Subrecipient Workshop Training for PY2026

The City of Arlington’s Grants Management Department held the PY2026 Subrecipient Training Workshop on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Arlington City Hall located at 101 W. Abram Street, Arlington, TX 76010.

The workshop provided subrecipients with an overview of key program requirements and updates for the upcoming program year.

Workshop topics included:

  • Neighborly invoice submission steps and required documentation
  • Budget, financial procedures, and reimbursement processing
  • Monthly accomplishments reporting and compliance expectations
  • Recordkeeping, eligibility verification, and required client documentation
  • Monitoring processes, risk factors, and common findings

When administering programs funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs, it's essential to ensure that income eligibility is determined using the most current HUD Income Limits. These limits are updated annually and vary by geographic area.
