National Night Out

The Arlington Police Department invites you to participate in National Night Out (NNO), a nationwide event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie!

This year's event will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Arlington neighborhoods, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to organize and register NNO parties, which are meant to bring together neighbors, leaders, police, firefighters, and other city employees in a fun, relaxed environment so they can forge lasting relationships that will help strengthen the community.

Register Your NNO Party

Click on the button above to register your NNO event and ensure that city personnel will attend. For additional information about NNO, select the appropriate tab below.

Do I need a permit for my NNO block party?

If your NNO event or block party will require the closure of any neighborhood streets, you will need to apply for and obtain a Residential Street Closure Permit. Click here to learn more about the application process.

If you do not require any neighborhood street closures for your event, you do not need a permit. We strongly encourage you, however, to register your NNO event so our community gets credit and we know where to send our Police, Fire, and City personnel who will be visiting NNO parties that evening.

NNO Party Packs and Swag

The Arlington Police Department has a limited supply of free NNO Party Packs that contain banners and other NNO promotional materials for neighborhoods and organizations that register their NNO parties. The packs are first come, first serve and can be picked up at the APD Crime Prevention Office, which is located at 620 W. Division Street.

NNO shirts and additional swag can be purchased from the official National Night Out online shop on the National Association of Town Watch website.

Project 365

Project 365 is a charitable component of NNO that gives NNO participants an opportunity to make a difference in their community by supporting a deserving cause or organization.

This year's Project 365 effort will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
