1. Unforgotten Heroes Memorial Day 5K & 10K

Start your Memorial Day on the right foot, with the Unforgotten Heroes run. The race begins at Globe Life Park and takes you through Arlington's Entertainment District. There's also a one-mile course and an option to "Sleep in for the Cause." Money raised benefits disabled veterans. 

2. Opening Weekend at Arlington Pools

Arlington's two largest pools will open for the season Saturday. Bad Königshofen and Randol Mill Family Aquatic Centers will also offer half-price admission Monday for active-duty military. The City's other outdoor pools open next Saturday, June 1. 

3. Live Music at Levitt Pavilion

It's a weekend full of live music at Downtown Arlington's Levitt Pavilion. Tejano singer Ram Herrera kicks things off Friday night. Saturday is alt/country, with Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis. Sunday is a mix of country and blues when Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band takes the stage. 

4. Wine Walk at "Texas Live!"

Celebrate National Wine Day Saturday at "Texas Live!" Eight venues will offer two-ounces of wine along with appetizers. The final stop on the wine walk includes a full pour. Each guest will also receive a souvenir glass to take home. Tickets are $40. 

5. Mommy & Me: Beauty and Art

Moms, enjoy some pampering while your children create a true work of art. The Arlington Museum of Art and KidCreate Studio are hosting the "Mommy and Me" event Saturday morning. Tickets are $19.50. 

6. BBQ and Wine Pairing at Urban Alchemy

Urban Alchemy is taking Memorial Day weekend barbecue to a new level. The Downtown business is partnering with Hurtado Barbecue for a party on the patio Sunday afternoon. Tickets are $35.  

7. Six Flags Over Texas: Beer Festival 

Six Flags guests can experience some of the best craft beer Texas has to offer this weekend (including Legal Draft, brewed right here in Arlington.) Tastings are scheduled Friday-Monday in the Boomtown section of the park. 

8. Live 80 at "Texas Live!"

Throw it back Saturday with Live 80. The band will perform in the "Live! Arena" starting at 9:30 p.m. Wear your neon. 

9. Splash Pads Open

Arlington's splash pads open for the season Saturday. Each location has different features, so visit them all before summer ends.

10. Food Truck Friday

You can grab lunch or dinner this week. The trucks will be parked outside City Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch then will move to River Legacy Parks starting at 5:30 p.m. for dinner.
