Fall Water Classes

With summer-time temperatures hanging around into fall, finding ways to keep water usage and utilities bill down is on residents’ minds. Arlington Water Utilities wants to help. That’s why the department is co-hosting a series of free classes this fall with Tarrant Regional Water District, Tarrant County Master Gardeners and the Arlington Public Library.

The events start Thursday, Oct. 3 with a presentation on Water Conservation for the Home Landscape, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St. Attendees will receive a free water conservation kit that includes water saving gadgets for inside and outside your home. The presentation will include an overview of water conservation for your yard, including how to choose drought tolerant plants, and an overview of using the city’s new Know Your H2O website.
