The Potter’s House Delivers Meals and Kindness to Arlington Police Officers, Firefighters

On Friday, members of The Potter’s House, a non-denominational church, delivered 1,000 free meals as a thank you to police officers, firefighters and medical workers on the front lines in the fight against the coronavirus.

All of these meals, prepared at the Dallas mega-church’s commercial kitchen, were delivered to City of Arlington employees at the Ott Cribbs Public Safety Building in Downtown. Others will be delivered to fire stations and hospital staff in Fort Worth, Burleson and Waxahachie. The Potter’s House has distributed these meals, paid for through church members donations, throughout north Texas communities for three weeks in a row and are gearing up for another meal delivery next week.

“We’ll go as long as we need to,” said Frank Dyer, chief operating officer for The Potter’s House. “We’ve decided to give back to the community who serves and protects us. When they stepped up to be there for us, the expectation is that we should be there for them. It’s so important to show appreciation and kindness, especially for those on the front lines.”

Many members of the church are emergency first-responders and residents of Arlington and its surrounding areas. The Potter’s also said they will continue to stand ready to serve the needs of the community in times of trouble.
