Children with Santa at Olde Town Christmas

Whether you're shopping for the perfect gift or waiting to snap a picture with Santa, Arlington Parks & Recreation and Arlington Public Library have a Christmas event for you.

Start planning now, and get ready to experience the magic of the season.

Olde Town Christmas

The annual Olde Town Christmas craft fair returns Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center. You'll find dozens of vendors offering one-of-a-kind gifts. There will also be events for kids plus a visit from Santa. Admission is free. Click the link above for a complete schedule.

Hot Chocolate, Donuts and Crafting

Head to the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to create a custom dog tag Christmas ornament. Just bring your favorite picture to use on your ornament. The program is led by the non-profit veteran organization The Mission Continues. The event is free.

Breakfast with Santa

Santa is arriving a few days early this year, ready to greet your children. Stop by Cliff Nelson Rec Center Saturday, Dec. 14 for holiday crafts, award-winning entertainment and a visit from Mr. Claus himself. There is a minimum of one adult required with each registration. Tickets are $10 and available at the link above or by calling 817-561-2819.

Holiday Lights Parade: Early Celebration

The Holiday Lights Parade is more than just a spectacular parade — it's a full day of fun. The George W. Hawkes Downtown Library will offer a variety of free activities before the parade including reindeer games, crafts and photos with Santa. The party runs from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Click here to learn more about the 2019 Holiday Lights Parade.

Mayor's Holiday Pajama Storytime

The Downtown Library is hosting a very special storytime Thursday, Dec. 19 at 6: 30 p.m. Come celebrate the holidays with Mayor Jeff Williams at a special pajama storytime. Children are encouraged to dress in their favorite cozy PJs to enjoy stories, songs, and make a special craft. Families are welcome, and the stories are geared for preschool-aged children.
