The Arlington Police Department arrested 18-year-old Stephan Salsberry in Dallas for the murder of Anthony Porter, Jr. The suspect has been charged with one count of Murder.

ORIGINAL RELEASE - SATURDAY, JULY 25, 2020

On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 10:18 a.m. the Arlington Police Department responded to a shooting victim found inside a vehicle in the 1800 block of Carriage House Circle.

Officers arrived on scene and located an adult man inside the car with an apparent gunshot wound. The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.  
 
Detectives determined that the shooting actually occurred in the 700 block of Washington Drive at an apartment community.

Investigators believe that a group of four people, including the victim, came to the location to meet with another individual. There was some type of disturbance between the victim and a male suspect. The suspect discharged a firearm at the initial group of individuals that arrived at the location as they were inside the vehicle. It is believed the victim was struck while seated in the back seat as they drove away to another location to summon medical assistance. 
 
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving. Detectives are working to identify the suspect along with all witnesses and other evidence that may be present at the scene. Officers located illicit drugs in conjunction with the incident.
