The Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash on Friday, March 22, 2019 around 1:44 p.m. in the 900 block of West I.H. 20 involving a motorcycle. The investigation revealed the motorcycle operator was travelling eastbound on the freeway when he attempted to take evasive action due to slowing traffic ahead. The motorcycle operator lost control after applying brakes and left the roadway and crashed on the outside shoulder. The operator, identified as George Huggins by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, was initially transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased on April 5, 2019. The operator was not wearing a helmet during the crash.
No other motorists were involved in the collision.
