The Fall Book Sale takes place at Meadowbrook Recreation Center, 1400 East Dugan St.

Pumpkin-flavored drinks aren’t the only seasonal favorite making a return this fall. The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library, our non-profit advocacy group, are putting on a fun variety of fundraising events! Meet local authors, enjoy community festivals, work on your fitness and find a great deal on a good book, all while supporting literacy and library services in Arlington.

North Texas Giving Day, Sept. 19

The Friends and Foundation are taking part in North Texas Giving Day, an online donation event by Communities Foundation of Texas. This one-day event encourages north Texas residents to get up and give in support of their favorite community groups! FFAPL has participated in the past, with funds benefitting library projects.

Use this link to donate on Sept. 19. FFAPL may benefit from matching funds, grants and drawings thanks to your participation.

Don’t miss the free Arlington Gives! concert to wrap up the day. Meet FFAPL and other Arlington nonprofits, enjoy food trucks, and see a free performance by Daphne Willis. While you’re there, vote for the FFAPL to receive a People’s Choice bonus grant. It’s a great way to celebrate community giving alongside other excited donors.
