Editor's Note: Due to low registration Yappy Hour is postponed until Spring 2022. More information to come in early 2022! Enjoy this beautiful weekend at the dog park, both dogs parks will be open.

The award winning Yappy Hour Dog social is back! The 2021 Yappy Hour Dog Social will be a Howl-o-ween Spooktacular on Saturday, October 23 from 3:30 -6:30 p.m. at Rush Creek Dog Park 1900 Valleywood Drive.

This event is presented by engAGE Arlington and is such a great way to enjoy live music, local beer and spend time with your furry friend. Register early for a reduced price of $10 per person, or pay $15 cash at the event site.

First 200 people to pre-register will receive a special edition event cup. BYOB - no glass containers. Limited seating, bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free parking available across the street.

Incase you need a little more convincing, here are 5 reasons you should attend:

  1. You’ve had a ruff work week and want to enjoy the fantastic weather! Your pup can socialize, sniff some potential new friends and roll around in the dirt while you enjoy a much-deserved afternoon out.
  2. It’s so fun to see dogs dressed up in costume! Dog contest at the event - Like Pet, Like Owner, Funniest, Cutest and Most Original. Medals awarded for 1st place in each category along with a prize pack from vendors. Sign up at event!
  3. It’s for people 21 and older – no children to distract from dog-owner bonding. An excuse to get a babysitter for the night.
  4. Pups can chase tennis balls, take selfies, and visit with various vendors.
  5. Live Music! Jett Platt will entertain all afternoon long from 3:30 to 6:30 PM with hits from country to rock, eclectic to TOP 40, R&B to Rat Pack.
