Did you know approximately 61% of Arlington residents work outside of the city? That's according to 2010 U.S. Census data used by the City of Arlington to create a profile of the city's residents.

If you happen to work in Dallas or Fort Worth areas, avoid the highway traffic and let the new Metro ArlingtonXpress, or MAX, help get you there.

Here's how to have a smoother morning commute: a $5 fare allows you to ride MAX from UT Arlington to the Trinity Railway Express' CentrePort/DFW Airport Station, then on the TRE train to Fort Worth or Dallas, and any T bus or DART bus/train for the day.

All seniors, disabled riders and students will pay a reduced fare with a transit authority-issued photo ID.

Buses will operate Monday-Friday from about 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For a bus schedule, maps and ticket information, visit RideTheMax.com.
