Free Concerts at Levitt Pavilion for Performing Arts

If you missed any of the great artists performing at the Levitt this summer, don't worry. The Levitt Pavilion's 2013 Texas Power Fall Concert Series kicks off August 30 with another great band. Grab your lawn chairs, bring the food and coolers, and enjoy a night under the stars. All concerts are FREE to the public.

Friday: Seryn - a folk/pop canvas of sound and harmonies

Saturday: No Justice - country/rock perfect for a night under the stars

Sunday: Hot Club of Cowtown - a new kind of Texas swing-hot jazz style!

Enjoy a Good Laugh at The Improv

Enjoy two funny comedians for the price of one this weekend. D'Lai, one of the country's hottest comics, excels as a stand-up comic and impressionist. His quick wit and knockout smile are just an added bonus to an act that spins hilarious thoughts on current events and everyday happenings. Ali Siddiq uses thought-provoking punch lines, life experiences and perfect comedic timing to engage his audiences. Show times are 8:00 & 10:30 p.m. on Friday; 7:30 & 9:30 p.m. on Saturday; and 7:30 pm on Sunday. Tickets: $15-27.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

Is this the year the Dallas Cowboys make it back to the Super Bowl? Their quest for a sixth Lombardi Trophy begins Sunday night when Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys open the 2013 season against the New York Giants on Sunday night. A limited number of tickets and party passes are still available for the game. Put on your silver & blue and show some Cowboy pride!

Iron Man 3 at UTA

The latest installment in UT Arlington's Friday Night Film series features Iron Man 3 playing on the big screen in the University Center's Rosebud Theatre. See Tony Stark/Iron Man take on an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. Free fresh-popped popcorn with ticketed admission. Tickets are $1 ($1.50 with credit card). The movie begins at 8:00 p.m.

Arlington Music Hall Presents Holly Tucker

If you watched the 2013 season of The Voice on NBC, you likely heard the sultry sounds of country singer Holly Tucker. The 19-year-old Texas native worked with coach/country legend Blake Shelton, who really thought she had a great shot to win the show's top prize. Now Tucker will be hitting the Arlington Music Hall stage to showcase her beautiful voice. Tickets are $20-40.
