Are you an avid visitor of River Legacy Parks? You may have noticed the construction going on near the southeast corner of the Great Meadow. River Legacy Parks is the recent recipient of a Play Trail which has broken ground this week. The new play feature will be dedicated on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at 9 a.m.

Play Trails are a revolutionary and innovative collection of play equipment designed for installation as pockets of play along a path or trail. As children and families explore a trail, they will encounter these nature-themed play pockets that promote physical activity and fun, as well as educational signage with fun facts and activities related to the play pocket theme.

A big thank you is due to United Health Care for donating the funds for this project. UHC, staff from EcoMedia, and the Dallas Cowboys Streat Team will be on-hand for the dedication ceremony on Oct. 5. Keep up with the progress of the event on Facebook (http://on.fb.me/1fnP21x) and join the event (http://on.fb.me/15ukruG) if you are interested in attending the River Legacy Parks Play Trail Dedication Ceremony.
