Dog of the Week – Meet Brownie

Hello! My name is "Brownie" and I am Arlington Animal Services' chosen Dog of The Week. I am a six month old, male brindle colored Pit Bull mix. Did you know that Pit Bulls are really smart and loyal? We love to run and play, so a family with older children and a yard would be a good match for me. When I grow up I'll be a medium sized dog but since us "pitties" have so much muscle, sometimes we forget how strong we are. That's why it's so important we learn our manners. I am a boy that does best with positive reinforcement such a treats, toys or clicker training. The word around Arlington Animal Services' is that when you adopt a puppy, you receive two free training sessions with local trainers who volunteer their time here at the shelter. Being a "pittie" baby, most would think I would be super outgoing, however I'm a little shy here at the shelter. I've met lots of nice people here though, and volunteers have seen a different side of me and believe that once I'm in a home with a loving family my personality will blossom. Once I get to know you I warm up and I try really hard to please. I enjoy being petted and played with and I love being with other dogs too! Do you have a special place in your home for a dog like me? If so, please come down to Arlington Animal Services' and ask for a meet and greet today. Remember to bring my ID number A20982443 and kennel DA25 with you so they know you are looking for me! My adoption fees include all core vaccinations, a micro-chip, spay and 30 days free pet insurance.
