Light Up Arlington Fireworks
Before you head to the event on July 3, please check out the info below.

What to Bring?

To make the most of your evening at Light Up Arlington, bring a fun attitude, a lawn chair or blanket for relaxing, snacks or a picnic dinner, and a cooler with beverages (alcohol is allowed, but no glass containers). You might also want a hat, sunscreen, bug spray or other protection from Mother Nature. Strollers are permitted on site.

What Not to Bring

No selling of food or merchandise without designated vendor pass. No glass containers. Due to the large crowds and loud noises, we do not encourage you to bring pets. Pets will be allowed to the events, but owners assume full responsibility for their actions.

Is There an Admission Fee?

Parking and admission to Light Up Arlington are completely free and provided by the City of Arlington Parks & Recreation Department and our generous sponsors. When Will the Fireworks Display Start?

Fireworks are expected to begin at approximately 9:45 p.m. The display will be shot off of the Municipal Office Tower. Some lights will go out a few minutes before in order to give everyone optimal viewing. PLEASE be sure you have all members of your group (especially little ones) seated with you before the lights go out. We will communicate any weather-related delays on the LightUpArlington.com website, through SMS Text messaging (text LUA to 86677 for our SMS service; standard carrier and data rates may apply), the digital screen at Levitt Pavilion, and on the Parks and Recreation social media channels. We hope to have everything running smoothly and on schedule this year, but the safety of event attendees will always be our number one priority. Location, launch and other surroundings often dictate the firework launch. Our team works diligently with local meteorologist as well as the Arlington Police and Fire Departments to ensure conditions are safe.

Why July 3?

Due to the long-standing Arlington Independence Day Parade, we host our fireworks show on July 3 to allow for proper emergency services staffing and ample set-up and tear-down times for both events.
