It’s Mexican flavor in Texas! On this episode of Arlington Eats, host Cynthia Lemus takes you to Paletería Oasis, where you can have Mexican snacks, popsicles, ice cream and much more.
“The taste alone, the things we do here are basically homemade, like the ice creams my mom went to Mexico to get recipes and all that. It’s like a taste that comes from there. We use natural flavors for everything” said manager Adriana Chávez.
Adriana and her familia opened the business six years ago, and what started as a small paletería has now become the favorite place for many families who want to try Mexican snacks.
In the menu you can find popsicles, ice cream, aguas frescas and if you’re hungry, they have ceviche, tortas, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, French fries.
“It’s something my mom and my dad always try to do, put more variety to the menu so when people come, they have something to choose,” Chavez said.
Adriana and her family move to Arlington from Houston 20 years ago and when they started looking for a business, they knew The American Dream City was the right place to start.
“I love Arlington, I wouldn’t go back to Houston,” Chavez said.
Paleteria Oasis is located at 2202 New York Ave Ste 916. For operating hours and more information, visit the paleteria’s Facebook page.
