Small Business Promotion Week

Small businesses and entrepreneurs like you help make Arlington, the American Dream City, vibrant and a thriving community that nearly 400,000 people are proud to call home today. And that’s why we want more of our residents to know about all that you do!

The iCARE Ambassador Team with the City’s Planning and Development Services department has been connecting and promoting small businesses like you for the past five years. This year, we are seeking to highlight small businesses in the East Arlington area (south of Division Street and north of I-20, east of Cooper Street and up to the eastern boundary of the city).

Starting in March 2024, we will host a Small Business Promotion Week, once a month, in partnership with Arlington’s own Canales Furniture.

Why should you consider participating? The sponsoring team leaders will have a meet and greet with the selected business for that month at their facility to learn about their business. The business will be highlighted in an article on the City’s website, and social media accounts, both of which are viewed by thousands of visitors each day. We invite businesses to share their feature article on their own websites and social media accounts to help spread it even further.

During the Small Business Promotion Week, the City will display a banner with the highlighted company’s information on a refreshment table in the One Start Development Center at City Hall. We also invite these selected businesses to provide promotional items, such as business cards, menus, flyers, or other advertisements to be placed on the table for City Hall visitors.

Don’t delay! Businesses will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis and we only have 10 spots available.
