Mayor Jim Ross presenting on Economic Development at 2024 State of the City

The Arlington Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is in the news with a KERA story after interim executive director Lyndsay Mitchell delivered a comprehensive economic development update at Arlington City Council’s Tuesday afternoon meeting.

“Visibility and community and business engagement are key to our success, so it’s kind of like when raffles and those types of contests say you must be present to win, that’s a theme for us going forward,” said Mitchell.

The AEDC’s $34.5 million in grants have gone towards projects like Bell Textron’s Systems Integration Lab, redevelopment of Town North Shopping Center and funding for wealth tech accelerator The Founders Arena, among others. For a complete list of AEDC grant-funded projects, visit the AEDC website
