City-Hall

As part of the continuing work to complete the new City Council Chamber, Downtown Library and Plaza, beginning this week, access to the north side of Arlington City Hall will change.

Pedestrians will be able to access City Hall from Pecan Street along the curved sidewalk adjacent to the new Council Chambers. The sidewalk from Center Street to the north vestibule doors will be fenced off so construction work can begin in the east end of the Plaza area. Access also will be available on the south side of City Hall through the southwest door at the south vestibule.

The fenced-in area at the Plaza will be there for about four weeks. The City of Arlington appreciates your continued patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project.

The first City Council meeting in the new chamber, which replaces a 35-year-old facility, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20. A grand opening celebration for the $34 million Downtown Library is scheduled for June.
