Aging Well Expo Features Speakers Offering Tips on Health, Travel, Finance and More

Arlington's annual Aging Well Expo is almost here and we've got some great speakers and panels lined up to provide you with important tips and information about how to live your best life here in The American Dream City.

The Aging Well Expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at the Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way. This free event, a coordinated effort of the City of Arlington, Tarrant County, and many community sponsors, is expected to feature more than 125 vendors, fitness demonstrations, health screenings, housing resources, information on volunteering in the community, educational presentations and more.

9:15-9:45 a.m. Session 1

  • Topic: When Medicine and Physical Therapy Are Not Enough: Hip and Knee Joint Pain
    Presented by: Vibin Kuriaskose, P.A.-C; Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital

  • Topic: Crypto-currency 101
    Presented by: Gary Leland; Author and Entrepreneur
    Overview: Arlington resident and Bitcoin enthusiast Gary Leland presents Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in an easy to understand presentation. If you are wondering what Bitcoin is, or just want to know more about the 1,500 different cryptocurrencies, this may be just the session for you.

  • Topic: How to Select a Health Care Proxy if You're a Solo Senior
    Presented by: Carol Marak, Aging Alone Expert at CarolMarak.com

    Presented by: The Honorable Jeff Williams, City of Arlington Mayor
    Overview: Join Mayor Williams as he welcomes attendees and guests. The Mayor will speak about several special initiatives for seniors in Arlington and introduce the Aging Well Premier Sponsors.

12:15-1:15 p.m.

  • Topic: Keynote: Dave Lieber' Watchdog Nation: Bite Back When Businesses and Scammers Do You Wrong

    Overview: Learn more about virus protection for your computer, as well as protecting yourself from email and telephone scams.
