On-Site Sewage Systems

City Sewer

• Prior to constructing, modifying, or repairing an on-site sewage system, an application must be completed, and a professional design must be submitted to Health Services.
• An inspection is required prior to abandoning or discontinuing use of an on-site sewage system.
• If you would like to schedule an inspection or request an application, please contact Health Services at HealthPermits@ArlingtonTx.gov.

Private Sewer

• Areas within the city limits that are not serviced by city sewer may be serviced by a private on-site sewage system.
• To find individuals or companies who are licensed to install, maintain or design on-site sewage systems go to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
