Permits & Inspections

Areas within the city limits that are not serviced by city sewer may be serviced by a private on-site sewage system.

Prior to constructing, modifying, or repairing an on-site sewage system, an application must be completed, and a professional design must be submitted to Health Services:

An inspection is required prior to abandoning or discontinuing use of an on-site sewage system.

Contact Health Services to schedule inspections.

To find individuals or companies who are licensed to install, maintain or design on-site sewage systems go to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) -On-Site Sewage Facilities (Septic Systems).
