Article XIV of the City of Arlington's Health and Sanitation Ordinance is effective as of October 1, 2019.

Hotels are subject to inspection during all days and hours of operation.  Inspections are conducted when complaints are received by the division and on a routine basis with a frequency determined by compliance history of the property.

Hotels, like all businesses, must maintain a current and valid Certificate of Occupancy.  In the event of a change of ownership, the new owner must apply for a new Certificate of Occupancy as they are non-transferable. 

New construction or extensively remodeled hotels must submit engineered plans for review of building, fire and health codes.
