Certified Food Manager

Food Establishments must have at least one Certified Food Manager, who is responsible for supervising food preparation and service. Certification is obtained by passing a Texas Department of State Health Services approved certified food manager examination. The examination may be taken at any licensed Certification Training Program, Test Site, Online Exam or National Exam provider. Certification is valid for five years. Food Handler

Access information about accredited food handler training courses at Accredited Food Handler Classroom Training Programs or Accredited Food Handler Online Training Programs. The Texas Food Establishment Rules requires that all food service employees must successfully complete a food handler training course accredited by the American National Standards Institute or the Texas Department of State Health Services and maintain on premises a certificate of completion for each employee.
