Help Arlington Identify Housing, Community Needs at Upcoming Meetings

The City of Arlington will hold three hybrid public hearings to discuss the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and Program Year 2025 Action Plan.

This plan is designed to identify housing and community development needs in Arlington and to establish goals, priorities, and strategies to address those needs, especially for low- and moderate-income households.  A draft of the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and 2025 Action Plan will be made available online for public comment for 30 days from March 26 through April 24.

The City’s first public hearing will be held at noon Wednesday, April 2 via Microsoft Teams. Click here to join the April 2 meeting or call 469-375-9689 or (833)-268-8354 Conference ID: 717 728 395#. To attend in person, come to Arlington Conference Room A on the third floor of City Hall, located at 101 W. Abram St.

The City will also host two additional hybrid public meetings at noon on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10 for input on the draft plans. Information on how to access the hearings will be made available on the Grants Management webpage.

The Arlington City Council is expected to take action on the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and Program Year 2025 Annual Action Plan on or about May 13, 2025. The plan is expected to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on or about May 15, 2025.

Copies of the plan can be mailed or emailed upon request by contacting grantsmanagement@arlingtontx.govor by calling 817-459-6221. All comments may be submitted by participating in the hybrid public meeting described above via Microsoft Teams, by calling in, by emailing comments to grantsmanagement@arlingtontx.gov. All comments must be received by 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
