Community Court

About: The Arlington Community Court is designed to help individuals who are unable to pay their Arlington citations satisfy their outstanding tickets and keep them off their record through meaningful alternatives to payment such as counseling, job placement, ESL classes, and more. Non-profit service providers are available on-site for participants to speak with starting at 8:30am on Fridays. Arlington residents without a citation may also speak with the non-profit service providers at the time. Sack lunches are available for individuals experiencing food insecurity.

Location: The Community Court is at 401 West Sanford Street Suite 2600 Arlington, TX 76011(located inside of United Way).

Time: Initial Appearance dockets are at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

Eligible Participants: Individuals are eligible if they have tickets for which they have not yet entered a plea, the offense is identified as an eligible offense, and they have not been charged or convicted of a violent offense.

Advisory Committee: The Community Court has an advisory committee that meets quarterly. The committee is comprised of police officers, individuals who reside in the community, and members of non-profit organizations that serve as service providers. If you are interested in serving on the advisory committee, please fill out the attached application and email it to communitycourt@arlingtontx.gov
