Tarrant Area Food Bank Senior Box Program
TAFB is excited to announce a new program that is specifically for seniors who are aged 60 and older.
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program allows for qualifying seniors to receive a monthly box of USDA food to supplement their diets.
The boxes will include shelf stable items such as canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, canned meats, and juice.
It will also come with a block of cheese. To qualify for the program, applicants must be 60 or older and within the income guidelines outlined below. If you do not qualify for this program, you can still visit a local food pantry to receive assistance during their regular pantry hours.

Eligible individuals and families can receive supplemental groceries, along with available hygiene and household items once per month.
- Weekday food service is available by appointment only and is limited to one appointment per month.
- Before you schedule an appointment, you must first complete an application form on the Arlington Charities website.
Arlington Charities also has Mobile Food Markets that are open to residents from all ZIP Codes and require no appointment. These Mobile Food Markets support individuals and households who often fall into the gap—earning too much to qualify for SNAP, yet still unable to afford enough food for their household.

- Time: Distribution starts at 9 a.m. Distribution ends when the food is gone. Lines form early; first come, first served.
4th Thursday of the Month
- Location: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1500 California Lane, Arlington, Texas 76015

Water From the Rock
Food assistance is provided Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to individuals living in Central Arlington.
Central Arlington includes part of zip codes 76010, 76011, 76012 and 76013. The “drive through” method is used for food distribution.

- All individuals must reside in Central Arlington.

Mission Arlington provides food six days a week to families in need. The nonprofit provides each family enough food to last between three to five days, based on their family size.

Shepherd's Pantry, located next door to the main church, is open every Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is available to anyone in need. To utilize Shepherd's Pantry, Patrons come inside our food pantry building (ministry offices) to complete an order from with their preferences. Patrons must complete a simple registration form on site each year. One of the volunteers will be available to walk individuals through the registration process. Shepherd's Pantry is closed annually on Thanksgiving Day.

Don’t Forget to Feed Me (DF2FM) is to supply pet food to local agencies in support of pet owners while educating the public about pet food insecurity.
DF2FM does not provide pet food directly to individuals; it is distributed through its partners to help keep pets in homes. Food is not intended for feral colonies, strays or fosters. Those seeking assistance must visit a partner location and confirm eligibility and distribution details with them.
