Real Estate Services is responsible for all real estate transactions for all City departments. The transactions include acquisition of property rights for street projects, water and sewer projects, libraries, parks, fire and police facilities, airport expansion, water towers and other special use sites. Other responsibilities include property leasing, maintaining property records, selling surplus property, preparing cost estimates, initiating and facilitating property review committee meetings and preparing and filing subdivision easements for developers.

Right-of-Way Resources
To work in the Right-of-Way (ROW), all service providers and their contractors must be registered with the City as a Public Service Provider (PSP). Contact OSI@arlingtontx.gov to request the PSP application.
All contractors working in the ROW on behalf of PSPs must complete a Business Registration at ArlingtonPermits.com.
Registered ROW contractors must also apply for a Right-of-Way permit at ArlingtonPermits.com before starting any work in the ROW.
Small Cells
Small cell fees were established by City Council Resolution Number 25-071 for all fees related to small cells, network nodes, node support poles, and transport facilities within the City of Arlington.
Small Cell Permit Application Fees
1. Network Node Permit Application: $500 for 1-5 network nodes (in a single/batch application); $250 for each additional network node (in a single/batch application)
2. Node Support Pole Application: $1,000 for each pole
The permit fees above are non-refundable and are due at time of permit application submittal
Small Cell Annual Public Right-of-Way Rental Fees
1. Transport Facility*: $28 per month per node or $336 per year per node
* Network providers that install their own transport facilities will be charged the above rental fee unless or until the time the network provider's payment of municipal fees to the City exceeds its monthly aggregate per-node compensation to the municipality.
2. Network Node**: $250 per node per year
** The fee amount will be adjusted annually by an amount equal to one-half the annual change to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
3. Collocation of Node on City Service Pole: $20 per service pole per year
The annual public right-of-way rental fees above are non-refundable and are based on the date of the permit issuance.
