OSSF Permits & Inspections

There are several areas within the city limits that are not serviced by city sewer. In these areas, the City of Arlington's Health Services regulates, permits, and monitors private on-site sewage systems. Health Services is also the designated representative for the Texas Commission On Environmental Quality, which is the agency that oversees on-site sewage systems throughout the state.

Prior to constructing, modifying, or repairing an on-site Sewage System, an application must be completed and the required information submitted to Health Services:

For on-site sewage facilities (septic systems) permitting, maintenance, construction requirements, and names of individuals licensed to install septic systems, please go to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) -On-Site Sewage Facilities (Septic Systems).
