South Street Art Festival to Bring Music, Artists and Brewers Downtown October 13-15

Returning for its fifth year, the South Street Art Festival aims to give artists, musicians and brewers a place to find their audience.

The three-day festival, presented by the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation, is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, October 13, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 14 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 15 on South Street between Mesquite and East streets in Downtown Arlington. Admission is free and free parking is available throughout the downtown district.

Festivalgoers will be able to visit more than 50 artist booths, showcasing and selling works in all forms of fine arts including ceramics, fiber, glass, mixed media, photography, sculpture and more.

The new Wine Tasting Experience will feature 10 local wineries, offering sample tastings and much more.
For all you music lovers, you will be able to enjoy free concerts from local and regional bands.

On Friday, crowds can hear Always the Alibi from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by Swan Song, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday's line up is Metro Rocket Band starting at 11:30 a.m., followed by Forever Mac, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, 7th Row 2nd Seat, Jace Bersin Trio and the Alan Fox Band. Sunday's live music offerings are Those Guys Texas and Texas Flood, a Steve Ray Vaughan tribute band.

In addition to several food vendors, the South Street Art Festival will also include a wine tasting experience featuring 10 local wineries and a Craft Beer Garden featuring breweries such as Revolver Brewing, Legal Draft Brewing Co. and Division Brewing.
