Arlington Parks - Recreation's Food Truck Friday Dinner Series

It's your last chance to enjoy food truck eats and treats at Stovall Park this fall! Arlington Parks and Recreation's Food Truck Fridays dinner series wraps up this week. This Friday night's food truck line up includes Yummy Pizza, Rollin-Stone, Mardi Gras Canjun Cuisine, Chicago Taste - More, Holy Frijole, Rockin Rooster Snow Cones and Steel City. Food Truck Fridays are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each Friday at Stovall Park, 2800 W. Sublett Road. Starting October 13, Food Truck Lunches will move to Founders Plaza/Levitt Pavilion in Downtown Arlington from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

River Legacy Living Science Center's After Dark in the Park

Enjoy fall fun for the whole family at River Legacy Foundation's 21st annual After Dark in the Park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m, Oct. 6-8. This family-friendly fall festival and fundraiser featuring bounce houses, temporary tattoos, karaoke, pumpkin patch, balloon artists and a variety of unique games, crafts and activities is geared for children ages 2 to 10. Free parking is available in River Legacy Parks, 701 NW Green Oaks Blvd., and visitors can catch a free hayride shuttle to event entrance. For more information, please visit www.riverlegacy.org.

Levitt Pavilion Arlington's Fall Concert Series

Live music continues this weekend at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington for the 2017 fall concert series in Downtown! This weekend's lineup includes Quaker City Night Hawks on Friday, Sunny Sweeney on Saturday and Little Joe y La Familia on Sunday. Packers vs. Cowboys at AT-T Stadium

The NFL season continues this Sunday, October 8, 2017 with an NFC showdown between the Green Bay Packers (3-1) and your Dallas Cowboys (2-2) at AT-T Stadium in Arlington. The team hopes to rebound after a home loss last Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised on FOX. WWE Live at College Park Center

WWE Live makes its Arlington debut at College Park Center this Friday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. College Park Center is located on the campus of The University of Texas at Arlington. Matt Hardy, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and many more WWE superstars will appear during the show. Tickets are still available at UTAtickets.com. WrestleMania 32 at AT-T Stadium in Arlington set an attendance record of 101,763 fans on April 3, 2016 and was the highest-grossing live event in WWE history at $17.3 million.

Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, will turn into the Fright Capital of Texas offering the Scariest Fright Fest Ever with an all-new scare zone, eye-catching and thrilling performance, plus a unique event that is appropriate for the holiday season. This year's Halloween festival runs through Sunday, October 29, 2017. To plan your visit in advance, head over to the Six Flags Over Texas for park hours and ticket information.

Bus Stop at Theatre Arlington

Theatre Arlington, which is one of the largest community theatres in the country, opened its 45th anniversary season with Bus Stop, an American classic comedy/drama. The show runs through October 22. Other scheduled shows through next August include the musicals, Plaid Tidings and Footloose, as well as A.R. Gurney's romantic comedy Sylvia. The performance schedule for Bus Stop is included below:

  • Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday - Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Shows at UTA Planetarium

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors. This includes Stars of the Pharaohs, a planetarium show that visitors on a journey to ancient Egypt to see how science was used to tell time, make a workable calendar, and align huge buildings.
